Partnering with You in the care of Your Loved Ones

TESTIMONIAL #1 - September 1, 2006

Dear Shellie: I cannot thank you and your staff enough for the support you gave me when my wife suddenly passed away. It was not only that I was saddened beyond belief, but I literally did not know how to handle medical matters like insurance, doctor bills, etc. A friend had used you last year and recommended that I call Partner in Care - which I did.

Your caring support, your professionalism and competency in the matter in which you handled all of the bills was astounding! Shellie, I still cannot believe that I owe absolutely nothing.

With time, it gets a bit easier. I am still clearing away much of my wife's belongings, doing it slowly and with the love like you beautifully taught me.

Thank you again for everything. You will always be remembered.

TESTIMONIAL #2 - February 12, 2005

Due to the issues related to Multiple Sclerosis, I retired two years ago.

I must have assistance from others; in August 2004, my husband went out of town and I didn't want to be a burden to my grown children. Most of my friends work and neighbors are busy with their families and their own obligations. A friend suggested that I contact Shellie Tomkin to assist me in designated tasks.

I called Shellie and was greeted by a warm, responsive woman. I gave her a list of the chores that I needed help with and we set out a plan to indicate dates needed, time factor and frequency of visits.

The following is a list of the tasks that required assistance:

  • My prescription medication is delivered in a very large box. It must be opened - one box is stored in the refrigerator downstairs and one box gets stored in the refrigerator on the main level
  • Deposit checks at local bank
  • Return books to library and pick up books at reserve desk
  • Drive me to an MS meeting
  • Drop off and pick up laundry
  • Pick up gifts for friends' grandchildren

During the two weeks I was alone, Shellie offered me a "peace of mind" as the chores that needed to be done were handled with ease and efficiency.

TESTIMONIAL #3 - February 10, 2005

Dear Shellie: I wish to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping to lighten the burden of caring for my aunt during this last year.

As you know I have a full time job which did not leave me many hours to take care of the many things that needed to be done for her. Her mail, her shopping, the gifts she wished to send to her family members, the clothes that had to be brought to the cleaners and picked up, her banking requirements and so many other things.

Your responses to her needs were quick, efficient and done with much kindness, which was greatly appreciated.

I know that anyone else who may be in need of your services will be lucky to have found you.

TESTIMONIAL #4 - June 8, 2004

Dear Shellie: I want to take the opportunity to thank you for all the help you gave me during the time my father was at the Hebrew Home of Riverdale and later on, the Jewish Home & Hospital of Manhattan.

As you know, I am a working single person and it was difficult for me to attend to all the personal necessities that my father requested at any given time. He required a lot of attention to details for purchasing his new shoes/slippers, slacks, shirts and jackets. Let's not forget how much underwear and socks he insisted upon having even though he didn't need that much.

Between work and travel to and from the homes, I was not always able to give my father the attention required to meet his needs. Your assistance in "running around" afforded me the piece of mind that he would get these items each time he asked for them. It was also good to know there was someone to occasionally keep him company and talk with during the day since he was visually disabled.

Again, thanks for all your help.
